Strikingly similar to a classic ceramic sumi brush-holder, this extra-large teacup will provide plenty of liquid volume to offer stimulation while you draw, paint, or brush your creativity.
While the interior of this cup is perfectly smooth and glazed completely, the exterior retains the well-spaced ridges produced during the throwing of the cup. These ridges now serve as finger holds, making this large cup easy to grip.
Both the inside and outside of this teacup are elegantly decorated with a simple black brushstroke over a creamy white glaze.
At a height 4.25 inches, this extra-large capacity teacup is perfectly situated on a subtle octagonal base. Being recessed, and with its slight taper, one barely notices the natural clay ‘foot’ when the cup is sitting upright on a table.
Of course, this cup can also be used as a brush holder or vase – truly elegant!
Slight variations in the painting, colors, tooling, patterning and kiln effects of Chinese and Japanese tea wares are to be expected. We have carefully photographed this item as best as possible – please be aware that different device screens can render colors and subtle tones slightly differently.
