Lovely kiln markings (yohen or kiln effects) accentuate this stylishly-shaped Tatsuhiro teapot. The surface of the clay has a light shimmer which keeps with the natural, organic feeling of this teapot. From almost every angle, the surface of the teapot has something of interest for the eye to consider. The handle and the lid knob are designed for comfort in handling.
This is an absolutely stunning teapot – elegant and clean stylistically.
Tatsuhiro’s signature is a punched-out design that resembles a tiny cluster of grapes with a stem that he fashions into all of his teapot lids. The design allows steam from the heated water/tea to escape while adding a clever design element to the teapot.
This is a handmade item – slight variations in the painting, colors, tooling, patterning and kiln effects of Chinese and Japanese tea wares are to be expected. We have carefully photographed this item as best as possible – please be aware that different device screens can render colors and subtle tones slightly differently.
